Standard Fonts

Does anyone know what the standard fonts are that come
with Word? I have so many fonts loaded (most of which I do
use) but we have a new regulation that everyone must be
able to open a document using standard fonts and I'm not
exactly sure what fonts everyone has.
Thanks in advance.

Word/Office come with a lot of fonts, and varying versions come with varying
selections, and specific users may not install all the fonts that come with
Office. You can find out which fonts come with which programs at
http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/default.asp.

But if you want to be sure that Office documents use fonts that any Windows
user will be sure to have installed, stick to the Windows core fonts: Times
New Roman, Arial, Courier New, Symbol, Wingdings (and Wingdings 2 and 3 and,
for IE users, Webdings), plus Tahoma for Office users. There may be a couple
more, but these are the basic ones that everyone will have.
