Hello I want to determine if the standard integration for Project Server AX
is sufficient for my requirements. I have not found any documentation on this
interface yet, but I have downloaded the vpc-image and had a look.
Basically I have the following questions. But if you could help me to
additional documents I would be grateful.
1. What technique is being used for the integration?
2. Are project custom fields synchronized with fields in Ax?
3. Is the synchronization automatic (batch) or user driven?
4. Is the Application Integration Framework of Ax used in the integration?
5. Does the integration make use of the application logic of AX and EPM?
6. What is the status of a project in AX if it has been created in Project
Server and synced?
7. What is the unique project identifier in the synchronization?
8. Are historic resource rates exported to Project Server form AX?
9. Are Actual Cost exported from Ax to EPM or are Actual Costs computed in
EPM based on Actual hours and resource rates
10. What configuration is needed in Ax and EPM (custom field, authorization
etc)
11. Is a publish of a project needed after import of Actual hours from Ax in
EPM?
12. Is the integration closed for Closed projects in Axapta?
