Standardizing Outlook Phone Numbers

I hope you are doing well. I have been searching online and in this forum
to help
address a specific issue that just came up with outlook, but have not yet
found an answer.

I recently sync'ed my phone with outlook and for some reason, it converted
all of my Outlook contacts to xxxxxxxxxx. All new entries are populated in
the standard/correct (xxx)xxx-xxxx format; however, existing records were
populated without formatting. If I go into the contact and make a manual
change and then save, it will put the contract back into the (xxx)xxx-xxxx
format; however, it will be very difficult for me to go contact by contact
and "fix" these records.

Do you know if there is any VBA code that will allow me to do a bulk
formatting or standardization change on these records. Again, the issue is
not with any new outlook contact - and I can fix each one by going in and
making an edit to the phone number... but I just want to get all of my
contacts back to the (xxx)xxx-xxxx format.

One option would be a code to just go into the record, make one edit (e.g.
delete and then undelete) and it will then automatically put the phone number
in the right format. However, I'm uncertain how to do this in VBA - only
manually, one by one.

Thanks!
