Start a new slide number inside a presentation

I have merged 3 PowerPoint presentations into 1. My old presentations
had slidenumbers as follows: 1-10, 1-15 and 1-5. The new (merged)
presenations shows 1-30.

Is there any way to "reset" the slidenumber to one inside an
presentation?

Not if your using the auto numbering system within PowerPoint.
