Start date

Hi all,

In my project i want resources to update Acutal start, actual finish &
progress.
I also show them start & finish dates so they will see the planned dates.
The problem:
One of the resources changed by mistake the start dates and saved the changes.
no I cann't change it back to dates from the project pro.
I asked her to update the changes and then rejected those updates -->
nothing changed still got the resource dates.
I published the project again still the dates are the same as the resource
wrote them

How can I over write it back with the same dates that are in the project Pro.

In your Microsoft Project plan, apply the Gantt Chart view and then click
View - Table - Tracking. In the Tracking table, remove the Actual Start
date for the task in question and then publish the project again. Hope this
helps.

Thanks, but it doesn't help,

in my project plan i changed the dates and even gave the task 15 % progress
and then published the project plan
In the PWA the dates the resource wrote stayed the same... but what is worse
is that the task got the 15% progress and strat date that equal to the one
that the resource entered

But thank you any way.

shoham,

Changing the date and removing the "Actual Start Date" are different things.
Removing it should do what you need.

Hi ,

I know that start field is not equal to the actual start, but this is not
the problem
I will explain:
1.The resource changed the start date.
2.As PM i got his update and rejected his update.
3. The resouce see the start date to which he changed and the fact that the
PM rejected his update doesn't change it back to the original date
4. publishing the project again doesn't change the start date
