Start Dates for Opportunities

When creating an opportunity, we want to indicate the start date of the
oppty. I don't see where to do this. How do we put a start date in an
Opportunity?

Opportunties start when they're created.

Perhaps Tasks or Projects, which both have start dates, are better
suited for your needs.
