Right, now I realize that I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to do. Have
the page number on the first page show up as "5?" Don't show any page numbers
on the first four pages, and then start with Page 1? Use little roman
numerals for the first four page numbers and then start with Page 1 after
that? Something else?
You can do it all by creating sections and inserting a footer (and/or
header) for each section. Once you do that, if you go into the footer
(assuming that you want the page number in the footer), a Design ribbon for
"Header & Footer Tools" will magically appear. You can click "Page Number" on
this ribbon to do different things with the page numbering for that section.
However, to change the starting page number for a section, you have to go
back to the Insert ribbon like I mentioned before.
To create sections:
On the Page Layout ribbon, in the "Page Setup" area, click "Insert Page and
Section Breaks" (icon in the top-right corner).
Actually, it would be easier to give step-by-step instructions if exactly
what you wanted to do was clearer.
