I am trying to log in to my laptop on start up and cannot remember my
username or password. How can I change it so I can log in?

And what has this to do with Microsoft Office?

As others have pointed out..this is a Windows issue. You didn't mention
which version so I'll give you a generic answer. You need a special
"recovery" utility that allows you to re-set the password. One that I
always keep handy is called "UBCD4" (Ultimate Boot Disk). You can get it
for free at: http://www.ubcd4win.com/index.htm

Download it, create the disk per the instructions, and run the utility
to re-set your password. Note that the disk does a *lot* more than just
re-set passwords. You will need to read the instructions carefully.

Your other option would be to re-install Windows...but that would be the
last resort.

Obviously I am not a computer genius, however, I do posess people skills and
find that sarcasm is a very nasty way to get a point across. I do appreciate
your feedback, though.

Thank you for the info!

Peter - very impressive (seriously)...as all of your posts are. I
wouldn't have thought of that. I just assumed that *everyone* assigns a
password to the Admin account. Duh...
