Starting a PPT Presentation from a CD or DVD?

Is there some low cost and simple to place a PPT file on a CD or a DVD and
have it fire up automatically? I have Nero.

It refuses to copy to my RW CD. It doesn't think there's a recording device
device available (none found). It says to make sure CD recorder is on my PC.
I've written lots of CDs. Is there a special recorder?

Hi Wayne

If you're having problems then you can use file -> package for cd -> save to
folder. Then copy the *contents* of the folder (not the folder itself) to
the CD using your CD burning software.

That might defeat the purpose, which is to get the PPT file onto a CD and
have it automatically playable via PPT.

Hi Wayne

It will do exactly what package for CD does, just using your cd burning
software instead. Package for cd -> save to folder includes all the same
files (such as the viewer and the play.bat & autorun.inf) as package for
cd -> copy to cd. By copying the contents of the folder to your cd you are
just avoiding using powerpoint itself to do the burning, which is causing
you an issue at the moment. Does that make sense?

Hi,yes, except I'm not sure where the bat inf and reader are. I'll check
into it though.

Figured it out. Thanks. When I copy "The CD to Folder", it puts all the
necessary files out there to burn the CD.
