Startup problem template

I've moved a template, that creates a new menu option, from Word 2000 to
Word 2003.
It is saved in local the StartUp folder for Word.
However, on some computers, the new menu is not visible in Word 2003.
The template is openen but not linked (no check at Tools - Templates and
Addins)
I can attach it manually through Tools - Templates and Addins, but that only
works for the duration that Word is open and the new menu is still not
visible.

The problem does not arise at all computers on the network.

What is the reason and solution for this problem?

Thanks Anne

Are you sure that the Startup folder is defined correctly for all Word
installations? Look in Tools | Options, File Locations tab, to see which is
the actual Startup folder.

Yes I am sure about that, moreover because the template is visible at
'Tools - Templates and Addins', but not checked.

If it were in the correct Startup folder it would be loaded at Startup, so I
suggest you double-check the path given in Tools | Options | File Locations.
Any template that has ever been loaded in Word is listed in Tools |
Templates and Add-ins.

Yes it is listed, but unfortunately not activated (no check before the name
of the template). So really the file location is alright.

If it were in the correct Startup folder, it would be loaded at startup, in
which case it would be checked. The fact that it is not checked means that
it is not being loaded, which means that it is not in the right folder.
