Mr.s

Hi,

Please could someone help me with the below two questions:

I have accidently closed the toolbar which shows which programmes i have
open on my task bar- could someone please inform me how to put this back on.

My computer is very slow when starting up- so i want to close some of the
programmes that start up automatically- so they do not startyp everytime i
start Windows. Where in microsoft can I do this?

Thank you

1) Toolbar? do you mean the Office Tool bar? which version of Office?
2) Programs that start automatically, generally have an option within those
programs to enable/disable auto start.
For those shown in the Task Bar, rt click over the icon and examine their
properties
Programs auto starting are not neccessarily the cause of a slow system
start.

You might be better off posting to the group that supports your version of
Windows, as you've posted to an Office group

It sounds like maybe you accidentally resized the Task Bar so that you can't
see it? (The task bar is the bar usually across the bottom of the screen --
with the clock and icons on the right and Start on the left.)

If this is what happened... slide your cursor to the bottom of your screen
and see if you can get the "arrows" you seen when resizing a window... then
drag it up to make the task bar visible again.

If that is not the problem -- you may want to repost being more specific
about exactly what it missing.
