startup settings

Whenever I untick the settings in tools>startup they revert back on closing.
I have tried 'compact and repair' but to no avail. What am I doing wrong.

You'll need to do some investigation. This happens when:

1.) The database application is read-only.

2.) The database application is opened by a newer version of Access and has
been enabled in the new version, but not converted to the newer version of
Access.

3.) The database application is being shared across the network, and one
user makes changes while another user has the database application open.
The user who made the changes closes the database, then the other user
closes the database, which overwrites the first user's changes.

Thanks for that Gunny,

I finally dicovered the solution. I re-compiled my modules and that did the
trick. I am not sure why, but I guess it is your second possibility as I do
have a newer version of Access, and there were some 'funnies' to sort out.
