State Field Required

I am trying to set the "State" field to "required". When saving I get an
"Unknown Error". We have installed SP1. Is this an unfixed bug?

If I remember correctly the state field is used in the proposals workflow,
and cannot be manually set. I would ignore this field and set up another one
with a lookup table containing your required codes.
