Stationary - letterhead and side list

M

Marc Harmon

What is the secret to making stationary so that the LEFT SIDE list of
contributors, head and bottom do not move, but allow me to insert text in
the body? I expect I could do head and bottom as header and footer but that
creates other limitations and does not resolve the list of contributors on
the left.

Word instructions talk about inserting a graphic box, I do not see how. I
have inserted a text box of the Name and address fields, and they move with
every attempt to input text. I cannot choose to "Format Text Box" > Layout >
Wrapping Style > In line with Text. I do not know that this would solve my
problem, but why can I not choose this option?

Thanx
Marc

Hi Mark -

For the first part of your question have a look at the info on this site:

http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/Letterhead.htm

Re the Text Box, those cannot be set to In Line with Text - and that
wouldn't resolve you issue. In fact it would make it worse :)

As the page referenced above points out, content on the Header & Footer
*layer* of the doc does not have to be at the top or bottom - it can be
anywhere you wish. That's where your letterhead content needs to be.
