I have a question: if I set up a certain stationery, the 'newpage' goes back

If you set a default stationery (in the Stationery Task Pane) it will only
apply to newly created pages in that section. It will not automatically
apply to existing pages in the section. You would have to manually apply
the stationery to the existing pages.
