Status field in the timesheet view?

Has anyone been able to display the "status" field in the timesheet
view? Is it possible?

I have the "status" field listed in the "Published Fields" list in the
project, I have customized the view to include this field, published
the projects... My other fields are being displayed why not the status
field?

Project Pro 2002 on 2003 server

Have you added [status] to the list of published fields in the project? In
MSP 2002 Prof, it's [Tools][Customize][Published fields]

Yes...<insert sinking feeling>
I just noticed that when I highlight the "status" field in the
"Published Fields" list the radio button "assignment" is not available
-only the task option. Suppose that is the problem? Only task fields
can be in the timesheet view?

How does everyone let their resources know if they are ahead or behind
on a task if the status field is unavailable to them through PWA?
