Status Manager -- Project Created from Template

I have a question regarding the Status Manager Field. We have Project Server
2007. Just installed December 2008.

I as an Admin have created a template for our PMs to use, but when they use
this template, the Status Manager's field gets populated with my name and
they have to manually go into each task and update to their name.

Is there a way the Status Manager Field can covert automatically to the PMs
name and not mine?

Please advise. Thanks!

This issue was fixed a long time ago in either a Service Pack or Cumulative
Update. What is your current level of Service Packs and Cumulative Updates?
Let us know.
