Status Report Function in 2007 PWA

I'm having a problem with resources continuing to see "You have x# of overdue
status reports" on their PWA home page even though the associated status
report has been deleted. When they click on that link from their home page,
it redirects them to their Status Report Archive page where when they try to
respond, they get an error telling them they don't have sufficient permission
to view the specified page. Is there a way to delete the status reports from
their Status Report Archives view? Thanks.

We are having this same issue. Any resolution to this?

Just yesterday we learned that this is in fact a bug. My consultant has
submitted the bug to Microsoft and they expect Microsoft will release the fix
in their next patch, but apparently Microsoft doesn't have any plans to
release another patch soon. My consultant is going to try to manually clean
up the erroneous request for statuses - if they tell me how they did it, I
will let you know. It has something to do with your resource trying to
respond to a status request AFTER you've already deleted your status report.
I had created my status report for training purposes, deleted it after the
training session, but my resources thought they were actual status report
requests and tried to respond to them after I deleted my "test" status
report. Anyhow, I'll let you know once I hear back from my consultant.

Ok, Villager21, here's the story; there definitely is a bug in the software.
The correct way to delete a status report is to FIRST ensure all associated
responses and request for responses are deleted from the server before you
delete your status report.

The way we cleared up the erroneous status report requests my users were
receiving was by first deleting ALL Status Report Responses via Server
Settings/Delete Enterprise Objects. Note: This will delete ALL status report
responses, not just the ones associated with the deleted status report. Once
that was done we had to get our SQL Support to recover the originally deleted
status reports so I could delete them again!

This doesn’t fix the bug, it just clears up the erroneous status report
requests the users were receiving.
