I recently built a project status tracking database in Access. I am having
trouble figuring out how to make access do what I need it to do.
Basically, I have a project selection form that has a drop down box where
you can select which project you want. After you do that and hit a command
button, another form is opened that has all the data for the project that you
selected including a txt box that tracks the overall status color of each
project(green, red, yellow). This is done in the text box by a query that
sums and averages differences between target date and actual date on a
subform on this project form...and then with conditional formatting this text
box changes color based on the value summed/averaged.
What I need to do is figure out how on a daily basis to track the
color/value of this text box for every project that we are working on so a
monthly average can be calculated at the end of each month. I would like to
figure out a way that this is automated so someone does not have to go into
each project on a daily basis and input the color/number into another monthly
tracking table for every project.
I appreciate any help or advice that you could give.
