I want to design a structure in Viso for Enterprise Architects using both square and round steel tubes, welds, angles and so on. is this possible or do I need someother software

It's certainly possible, but not what Visio was designed for. You'd
probably be much better off doing the mechanical design work in a program
more suited for it and importing the results into Visio if you need the
additional functionality it provides.
