Still having trouble with task requests

I have two problems with task requests. When I accept a task over the
internet from another user, that user receives no notification of my
acceptance. Yet, the task appears in my task list and shows the date
of my acceptance. I also am not prompted to "Edit response before
sending" when I click the Accept button. I'm not sure if this is
related. Plese help.
