I very recently had 2 high end computers stolen from my
home network (2 of many things missing after my house was
broken into). Both pc's were windows xp machines, one home
and one pro. I had never installed any type of tracking
software prior to this happening. I have already notified
local police and my equipment manufacturer with the stolen
serial numbers, hoping that my systems will be recovered.
I am wondering what else I can do or who I can contact to
ensure that once that pc touches the internet, authorities
are aware of it, so I can recover my machines (or at the
very, least my important data)
Any advice (via email if possible) would be much
appreciated.
