Seems like I hit the return key by accident. What I was trying to ask is: how
can I stop a particular note from autoarchiving. I know there is a "Do Not
autoarchive" bit since I see it in one of the columns but I cannot click the
checkbox to change it. Is this even a possibility?

Thanks, Diane, I checked "in cell editing" and was able to change the "Do not
Autoarchive" bit. I would have never guessed "In Cell Editing" since this
description does not really "tie" in with what I was trying to do. I guess I
have to learn to speak "Gatespeak"..
You were very helpful.

if you don't want any notes archived, disable it for the folder.
