Stop giving "create your drawing here" in Word, just let me draw .

In both Office XP and 2003, when I want to draw something, just a line for
example, and I click on the icon, I'm then presented with that ANNOYING box
that says "create your drawing here". I DON'T WANT TO CREATE IT THERE. I
usually want to just draw an arrow, a box around a word, or a line connecting
something to another thing. I don't want my picture to then destroy the
formatting that I created, I don't want it to push the text aside or below, I
just want to simply draw what I want where *I* want. It was possible in
versions up to 2000, why did it suddenly change? I can't find an option to
turn this off and it's REALLY ANNOYING!!

You have posted this message to the wrong news group.
The access in this newsgroup's title refers to Microsoft Access, a
database product.
I would suggest you re- post to the appropriate Word newsgroup.

To add to what the others said, the 29 Word groups all start with
microsoft.public.word.

You should be able to get an answer in one of those groups.
