Stop notification for messages purged by rules

Hello, I have Outlook 2002, and under Tools/Options/E-mail Options,
I've checked 'Display a notification message when new mail arrives'.

This works dandy, except I have rules that purge email sent with a bcc
to certain email addresses of mine that are frequently spammed. (I
take care of the cc: or to: situation with server based rules, but no
such rules available for bcc:; hence, I use Outlook rules for this.)
I'd just purge the whole email account and start over if I could, but
my ISP won't let me do that without terminating my account and
re-signing up for a higher monthly fee. Instead, I've simply created
a bunch of new email addresses on the same primary account. All email
from these get sent to the same primary email account, but I'm able to
separate the email based on the To: Cc: or Bc: field inside Outlook.

When ever I receive one of this spams, my rules successfully delete it,
but I still get notified, and when I attempt to read it, it says
something like 'item has been moved or deleted'.

This happens very frequently throughout the day, and it's a little
annoying to keep clicking on 'yes - read mail' to discover it's a false
alarm.

Is there anyway for me to continue to be notified, but only for
legitimate mail (i.e. mail not deleted by my rules)?
