I have started getting popups from Outlook recently. I never used to get
them, and I think this is ridiculous. Im not even on the web, just reading my
email and I get these ridiculous popups. This does not happen on Thunderbird
and I would think that Microsoft could keep it from happening with their
products.

Read your mail in the Restricted Zone (which _should_ be the default).
