Stop workspace opening in new window

Is there a way to edit the project workspace webpart so that the selected
project workspace opens in the same window and not a new window?

You could create an SRS report that would do that for you using a java
script command in the navigation link. If you did that, you could control
other things like grouping your workspaces by custom fields or limiting the
visibility of the project workspaces to only active projects.
