Stoplight Charts / Brian

Hello everyone,

I read the article on Tech Republic about-- Building
Stoplight charts into Project Server 2002 --and I think
its great. I just have a question, how do we create the
formulas? For example if I wanted to create other
Graphical Indicators for other purposes --other than the
example in the article-how would I create the formulas. I
dont have any programming experience, is there an article
or training anywhere about **how to create formulas**or
you just have to figure it out by yourself?

Thanks in advance,

Ania

Hi Jack,

Thanks for the reply. What Im interested in is using
graphical indicators to see if a project/task is overdue
or is going on schedule or anything else that could be
helpful in getting info on projects without having to read
the dates or notes. In general I need special views for
our executives to have some sort of a quick visual tool to
see a summary of projects and/or tasks. Im not sure if
this is the best way.

Thanks,
Ania

Well you can create a view with the required fields and also add the graphical indicator to this view. Just add this view and relevant users to the executive group and there you go. See there is no much programming exp required to craete delay indicators.. you can probably go through the project server 2003 application configuration guide by microsoft. Search for this on the MS site, it would be of great help to you.

Hope this helps.
Regards,
Sumit
