Hi,
here is my challange:
a bunch of users having Windows NT and Office 97 are getting new machines
that we would have to load with new install of Windows XP and Office 2003
(Power Point, Excel, and Word only). Most of the users would like their old
Office user settings preserved and transferred to the new box(the ones you
select under Tools/Options, etc).
I am wondering if these settings are stored somewhere in the file so that
maybe the file can be simply copied over from the user's old box to the new
box and modified if necessary- and if it is in the same file format in
Office 97 and Office 2003 and is fully or partially compatible.
Also what tool can you recommend, if any, to possibly automate the transfer
of such user settings?
