Can anyone tell me the quickest way to store all my
Outlook email folders on CD (without doing it one at a
time).

Thanks

You should just be able to burn your entire PST file onto a CD. If that's
too much (ie you don't want notes, contacts, calendar, etc), export your
folders into a separate PST file and burn that.

Many thanks - sounds easy - but what is a PST file?

It's the file that contains your Personal Folders. All Outlook folders are
kepr in one file.

Search your computer for *.pst and you will find where your e-mails are being
held. If you have multiple files, you can narrow things down by going in
Outlook to Tools | Services
Double-click on Personal Folders and it will show you where your PST file is
located.

The problem with storing a PST file on a CD is that it is not readable
from a CD. To access mail from the CD, you'll have to copy the PST from
the CD to a hard disk, remove the "Read Only" attribute, and then open
from Outlook. We're in the process of trying to find a better way of
archiving emails, so I'd be interested if anyone has a better solution.
