Hi All: Any way to store files in a directory or folder for download such as
access.mdb or ecel files?

They need to be zipped, else they will open in the user's browser.

You need to zip the file using WinZip or Compress folder function under
Windows XP and I would not named the folder htaccess.

You need to delete the links to the htaccess
files for starters.
I didn't see any other links to "files"

Your host would have to enable "Allow Browse" on the specific folder.
