Straightening Connectors

I am trying to align shapes via straightening the connectors. I cannot use
"align shapes" as the shapes are not identical and have multiple connection
points. I guess I want to align connection points by straightening the
connector. If anyone is familiar with Alerton's Visual Logic they have a
straighten up, straighten down, straighten left and straighten right tool bar.
Any ideas?

Do you want to move the connection points to suit the connector?
