Strange character every time I open Word 2007 document.

I cut and pasted text from a web page to Word 2007 document and now every
time I open a new document the setting that display spaces and end of line
are visible. How can I remove this setting?

Click the ¶ button on the Home menu, or press Ctrl+Shift+8.
