Strange Error Message when using Domain Functions

David C. Holley

I just upgraded to Office 2003 and have discovered that the following
error message is returned when an invalid field is included in a domain
function (DCOUNT(), DLOOKUP(), etc.)...

'YOU CANCELED THE PREVIOUS ACTION.'

Previously, the message was a bit clearer indicating that the WHERE
statement was invlaid or that the field wasn't found.

Why?

When I first opened Access, I did select the security open to restrict
certain functions to only operating within VBA code. Would this be part
of the result of that?
