strange little mark when I show formatting marks

I have a strange mark showing up in my resume when I show
formatting marks. It is at the end of a line looks like a
soft return (a little arrow going down then left) BUT it
has two small lines on both sides. I'm trying to fix the
various mistakes that have creeped into my resume as I've
updated it so many times, and I don't know if this is
something GOOD or something BAD. I haven't been able to
duplicate it. Does anybody know? I am trying to see if I
can do a screen print but I have apparently forgotten
how. :\

If the ¶ button on the Standard toolbar near the top of your screen
appears highlighted, click on it to turn it off. Do the marks
disappear? If not, click on Tools | Options | View | uncheck the
"Paragraph marks" box. Do the marks disappear?

Yes they do disappear in both instances. I made a screen
shot (and cropped out most everything not needed), here is
the link to follow:

PLEASE NOTE: I'm talking about the SECOND MARK NOT THE
FIRST. The first mark is a soft return. I put them next to
each other to show the difference. I'm wondering about the
one below it. THANK YOU

It's a text wrapping break. You can insert it using Insert | Break. You
won't see any difference in its effect as long as you have straight text,
but if there is a wrapped graphic or text box in the mix, then the line
after the text wrapping break will drop below the graphic. I guess this
should really be added to
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/InsertSpecChars.htm (it was introduced
after that article was written).
