Strange Picture

I

Iain Hamilton

I have a user who has a strange Word document.

The document has two images in it both of which are present when the user
opens the document on their network.

If the user e-mails me that document then only one image is present the
other one has a red cross where the image should be.

Linked to file, one would think.

However, Edit Links is greyed out as is Edit Picture.

In Word 2002 the item itself has circles on the vertices and at the
mid-points when you click on it.

Can anyone explain why there is no link to file information and yet the
picture is not being displayed.

Thanks

Iain

Hi Iain,

The link information to Word graphics is only available
when the graphic layout is set to an inline with text
wrap style through Format=>Picture. 'Floating' graphics
have their links masked.

Bob,

Do you know if there is any way to make them "visible" to a program that is
trying to break the links and remake them - ie it's changing the server name
where the images are located.

Thanks

Iain
