Strange problem... can't see files in the directory

For some reason, FP2002 (on XP Pro) can no longer see the images inside a
directory on my website. I've un/re-installed the extensions.

I can see the files via the folder listing, but if I open a page and then
either try to create a hyperlink, or insert a graphic, I get NOTHING
available in the directory listings.

Any suggestions?
