No there are no foreign characters in my Excel Doc, the Japanese symbols only
appear when I import into Access. I did notice that the characters I showed
in my initial thread have turned to ????????????marks now, how did that
happen. Again, this is a sample of some of the characters I'm importing
(â®æ¡æ•£ç³ç‰¯â¹æ•³ç´æ˜ ç‰¯ç æ•¨æ˜ æ™©ç¥´çŒ æ…´æ•´æ˜ æ…¬ç§çœ æ±©â¬æ¹¥ç‰¯æ½çµç¥¬æ ç¯æ®æ…²æ•¤ç æ•¨ç€ æ½²æ•¦ç³æ½©æ…®â¬æ•¬æ•¶â¬æ™¯æ„ æ±¬æŒ ç‰¥æµ¥æ¹¯æ•©â³æ½´æ„ æˆ ç¡æ©æ˜ ç‰¯æ…æ¥´)

How many characters are in the Excel cell?

And I saw Chinese characters, not question marks...

It varies, anywhere from 10-500 or more. As long as I have the properties set
as a memo field it shouldn't have any effect on it. Or should it??? Thanks
for the help ;)

Also what format is the cell in Excel, General? Can't be text because it
would only hold 255 characters.
