Strikethough in inbox on outlook 2002

One of my users has a problem with outlook 2002. If she
lets her computer sit idle, when she unlocks and goes back
into Outlook, all the messages in her inbox are shown with
a strikethrough. If she goes to another folder and back
to the inbox, they are gone. Any ideas?

are they still gone when she restarts Outlook? It sounds like that when here
computer becomes idle the networkconnection is also killed. You might want
to check that out.
