STS recognized only as localhost

Morning,

I have an issue on Project Server. Couldn't register STS from Project Server
administration page by name. Tried everything I found in KB, no go. Name
resolution works (ping, nslookup), DNS is on the same server.

Then I tried entering "localhost" instead of computer name and it
registered. OK, but then there is a connectivity problem, because clients
with browser can not go from projects to documents. I think that "wrong" STS
registration with "localhost" instead of computer name is culprit.

Server is W2k SP3, with AD, only DC for this organization.

What else should I try or look for to properly register STS?

Yes, everything. Will try today Davech suggestion, update IE5 to IE6SP1 on
the server.

That helped. Pretty stupid, IE version on the server affects how servers
work, plus you have to restart production server. Lots of hours wasted. At
least I know now for the future.
