Stuck In Outbox - Strange One

Hi everyone..

I've been assigned to a new client who has been havinng a strange problem.

He's running Outlook 2003 and has an Internet e-mail (pop/smtp) profile set
up. He can receive with NO PROBLEM.
He can send with no problem..HOWEVER, occasionally an e-mail gets stuck in
his outbox. WHile it is stuck in there, he can send other e-mails and they
go out. The only thing I can figure is there is some type of anti-spam or
anti-virus that is stopping it for some reason. And that is a pure 100%
guess cause I dont get it!

Anyone shed any light on this? Unfortunatly, I do not have access to their
mail server (run by an ISP). But I would like to be able to determine
whether or not it is on them.

Thanks!
Jax

It is not uncommon for messages to fail to send if a person has integrated
the antivirus program with Outlook. It's not needed and, for outgoing mail
in particular, a singular waste of resources. An outgoing scan can never
find an infection. Your client should uninstall his or her AV program and
then reinstall it without any mail scanning feature. If the symptoms
change, you've likely found the culprit. If not, write back and give very
explicit details on when it happens.

Ok thanks for the info. I'll def write back if reinstalling the AV doesnt
do it.
