Style Changes...

How can I stop the annoying style changes. I do not use
styles, because I do not type your "typical"
information. I really hate it when you move to the next
line of your document, and have to reformat your font,
font size, and allignment. How do I make it stop??

Thanks for the help.

You can't avoid using styles. If you're not selecting any other style,
you're using Normal style. Any formatting you apply to a paragraph should be
carried on to the next paragraph when you press Enter, but if you just pick
up in the new paragraph (after moving the insertion point), you may find
you're back to the default (font) formatting. Which is the whole reason for
using styles.

If you find that Word is applying styles willy-nilly behind your back, then
go to Tools | AutoCorrect | AutoFormat As You Type and make sure that
"Define styles based on your formatting" is unchecked. Also uncheck all the
"automatic" options (Borders, Numbering, Headings, etc.).
