In Word 2000, I'm trying to create a style that will allow me to use
Outline view to organize the information, but then flow it into a
paragraph in the page layout views. For example:

In Outline view:
Outline
subtext 1
subtext 2

In Page Layout View:
Outline: subtext 1, subtext 2

I can't see any way to do it, but hope I'm missing something...

Thanks

Hi Reed,

To get you some way towards your goal, you can format the paragraph marks
as "hidden".
But I don't know of a method to get the ":" and "," into Page Layout View.
You'd probably have to write a macro to put them in / strip them out.

Greetings,

Thanks to both you and Klaus for the hints -- looks like the hidden
paragraph marks are what I need.
