Is it possible to extract a document/templates style description.

With quite large style libraries it would be usefull to be able to print out
all the style descriptions to see which need upating / cleaning up.

Hi Jonesy Boy,

You could use VBA for this, but you don't need to.

On the File menu, click Print.
In the Print dialog box, in the lower left area, open the Print what list
and click Styles.
Click OK.

In VBA, it would be something like the following:
ActiveDocument.PrintOut Item:=wdPrintStyles

Jonesy Boy,

I have written an applicaiton (not quite finished yet) that copes with
my large styles library. I hated going into each style individually to
change a parameter here or there so I wrote this tool to do it.

If you want to have a look mail me at jpaiton "at" excite "dot" com and
i'll zip it up for ya.

It's saved me hours if not days of editing styles.

Cheers

J
