Sub-form sorting question

Hi folks,

I built a form which has two sub-forms (X and Y) in it. Both sub-forms are
in “Datasheet†view and have ID key common. When I sorted the name field in
sub-form X, the sub-form Y remained the same(unsorted).

Could anyone know the way to auto sort sub-form Y per sub-form X?
Any help will be appreciated.

Karl,

I don't think your method will work. If I sorted in "name field" of
sub-form X and there had no "name field" in sub-form Y. How to sort?
I can not create join query either because sub-form Y need to be editable.

Please help.

You lost me. If you sort the name field of "X" and "Y" has no name field how
do you expect it to sort?

There has common fields - "ID" in both tables. I would like the table Y's ID
in the same order of table X when table X was sorted.
