subdatasheet name won't stay "none"

boudin

As much of a PITA as it is to have to go change the
subdatasheet name property to "none" for any table that I
want to open in less than 5 seconds in a database that
has linked tables, now with Office 2003, it won't even
allow me to set it to none and save the setting. It
keeps ging back to "Auto". Anyone have a solution? I
know about running the code that sets all of the tables
to "none" but that's a hassle as I'm constantly making
new tables.

In th ebest of all worlds, I'd be able to make the
default property of the subdatasheet name "none".

HELP!

Thanks,
Ted

Hi Ted.

If your attached tables are from Access 2000 (or later) mdb, try setting the
property in the back end.

If the attached tables do not have the property (e.g. they are Access 97 or
earlier), there is not much you can do about it.
