Subform gone in editmode ?

I have a form with a subform on. This subform turns into a white
box when I'm in editmode. How can this be ? I want to change the
width of some of the columns, but when it is gone I can't do it.

Try right clicking in the white area and then select Open subform in new
window. This should open the subform up in a new window in design mode.
