I have a main form and an attached subform in Datasheet view. The subform
lists 8 records/row at a time. I would like to double click on ANY
record/row in the subform and a NEW form POPS up using the information in the
subform row I clicked as a FILTER to display information in the NEW form. In
addition, if the filter does not return ANY records in the POP up form
(which is possible), I would like to immediately go into ADD mode to add a
new record into the POP up form. If the POP up method discussed above is not
doable, I can add the additional fields into the subform, but it would bog
the subform down and there is a certain amount of "geewiz" factor having a
form POP up with additional "drill down" info.
As background: The subform contains a subset of information that is in the
POP up form. The POP up form contains additional information such as a
picture, a person's name who took the picture, the date the picture was
submitted and some keyword search words. This additional information is not
in the subform so that the subform can be more compact. Information in both
forms is: date picture taken, subject of picture, file location of picture
and where picture was taken.
