Submit button leads to 404 error

I have seen this problem with other users, but the answers don't seem to
apply to me. Recognizing that my web hosting domain does not support
FrontPage extenstions, I chose the option for my Submit button to store the
information on the ftp server. Whether I choose this option OR the e-mail
option, the submit button never even tries to submit. It just acts as a bad
link, and the 404 Page Not Found error displays.

Forms won't work without FP extensions and you publish via http...not ftp.

Rob is correct that the forms function in Publisher will not work without
FPSE. However you can use other forms. From "Publisher web publication forms
101":
http://msmvps.com/blogs/dbartosik/archive/2006/01/07/80564.aspx

"You can opt to not use FPSE for your form processing in which case your
program may provide for a level of customization not available with
Publisher and FPSE. If your host provides and supports a form program and
you have the technical know how to program it (or your host assists you). In
the form properties dialog for your form simply select the option to use "an
ISP Program" and then input the server path and name of the form program."

That means to me that you need to contact your webhost and see what form
program they provide, or Google for other form programs that might work.
