I am using a wizard form for customer inquiry's and I am not sure it is working correctly. Do you have to change properties so it knows the email address to send the inquiry form to? I have looked at the form properties and added the emial address but get an error message that web site may be a disk based site? I need hel

If you are doing this from your Hard Drive you will get that error every time
Select "No" when the warning pops-up and then publish your web. Form shoul
work and send email at that time
Good Luck

I am having the same problem as Bob. I have a page set up to collect info and when it is submitted it goes to my e-mail. This was working but now it isn't and I get the message that you see below. I have not changed a thing on this page that I know of. I enter information and then hit submit I get a username and password entry. How do I make this go away? You may check out my problem at http://www.holinesschurches.org/Feedback Form.ht

This form is being created on a disk-based web or the FrontPage Server Extension
have not been configured to send e-mail. Please direct your system administrator or Interne
Service Provider to the instructions in "Setting up E-mail Options on Windows" or "Setting
Up E-mail Options on UNIX" in the Server Extensions Resource Kit. If you do not have the Kit, you can find it at http://www.microsoft.com/frontpage/wwp/serk.

Thanks for the information. When I originally stup the web site we tried to send inquiry form and received a message (confirmation request sent) but I never received it even after a day waiting. I then went in and played with the submit button and thats when I received the error about the disk based site
Can you tell me, when you use a wizard to set up your site does it automatically default to your preset email during setup?

You need to wait to test the form, after it has been published to a server
that has the FP extensions installed and configured to process email via
FP's http mode.

Calista,

As Thomas mentioned, once published to a server with the
FPSE, you would then test your form.

The "Disk based web" message is a reminder that the
extensions are required in order for the form to function.
If you are creating your form on your PC and receive the
message, always check "No"

In addition, AOL email addresses are not always compatible
with form mail. You may need to use a site mail address,
or site mail forwarding to your AOL account or use a Yahoo
address to receive your results.

I am an AOL user myself and have had nothing but problems
with getting form results in my AOL box.
